Halloween Night: "New Orleans"

I decided to take a trip to "The Big Easy" this Halloween and what a trick and a treat it turned out to be! There is just no other place in the world like New Orleans.  The Cajun town is full of fabulous restaurants, live music on every corner, bars that never close, and people who come from all over the world just to get their piece of the bayou action.

Halloween night I did what every anxious tourist would do; I headed to Bourbon Street.  After enjoying my first cocktail at Antoine's, then a stuffed oyster and escargot dinner at Arnaud's, my friends and I were ready to get the bar hopping adventures started. I took some pictures of some of my favorite costumes on Bourbon; I hope you enjoy the electic mix.  Can you recognize which one I am?

The moon was full on this Halloween night and people were running wild!  I am glad I traveled in a group, I realized real quick that the local hangout on Frenchman Street was too crowded beyond belief (you can forget about getting a cocktail and try waiting 40 minutes to use the bathroom), and the night ended much earlier than expected when my friend's purse got stolen!!! Nonetheless, New Orleans is well worth the adventure.

Feel free to comment on this article. I would love to hear your "Nola" stories.
