"Una Notte in Italia" was once again an overwhelming success thanks to Rachel Brown and Robin Reimer who chaired the event, and Rudy and Debbie Festari. Over $300,000 was raised for Family Services of Greater Houston, as more than 500 guests celebrated ‘A Night in Italy’ to raise money for a very worthy cause.

The featured fashions of the night were from Festari for Men and the models were Local Celebrities:

Lester Smith, a philanthropist who has won international competitions in Ballroom Dancing, entertained the crowd with a lively salsa down the runway.

Mr. Domenico Luciano, of the Dominic Walsh Theater, cleverly performed the moon walk to a Michael Jackson tune and the crowd roared!

Fine Jeweler Franco Valobra threw out pearls as if it were MardiGras. Thank goodness, this crowd had more restraint than to lift their shirt in exchange for the beautiful beads! Enthusiasm is all that Franco required!

Heart throb Meredith Cullen, Riazul’s Inaki Orozco, Houston Astro's Humberto Quintero, Mo’s Johnny Vassallo, PR guru Mark Sullivan, Builder Monsour Taghdisi, the oh-so-pretty Christopher Mendel, Paul Getty, Restaurateur Lonnie Schiller, Darryl Hamilton and Charles Reimer received “ooohs” and “aaahs”…along with roses and silly string as they showed off the latest in Festari Men’s attire.

After the fashion show, there was a live auction, which raised over $60,000; and then guests hit the Tequila Bar and Dance Floor. Those dancing into the night included: Melissa and Michael Mithoff, Courtney and Bo Hopson, Dr. Michael Brown, Ericka and Jeff Bagwell, Veronica and Michael Roa, Sten Gustafson and Sofia Adrogue, Nancy Marcus Golden, Brenda Love, Elizabeth and Tom Glanville, Nicole Brende, Carolyn Farb, Leslie and Randi Fink.

I have attended this event two years in a row. What a fun way to raise $ for an excellent cause!
