Molly
ID# A11348408
Female
Hi, I'm Molly and I'm just 1 and a 1/2years old and my family moved away and brought me to the Houston SPCA. I'm simply sweet and purrfectly gorgeous! My fur is silver, white, black and my green eyes just sparkle. I'm housetrained, exceptionally social, laid back and I fancy hanging out with other felines as well.
During the month of September, a COOL CAT like me that's over 6 months of age is half price!!! That's right, so if you do the math, you can adopt me and a friend, (preferably a male kitty) and it will be 2 fur 1!!!!
The Houston SPCA is located at 900 Portway Drive in the Heights area! See you soon:)

Hi, I'm Joe and I'm an 8 year old orange tabby. I know what you're thinking, "What 8 years old?" Well, please keep in mind that that's not even middle age for us felines. I have plenty of 9 lives left and would love to be your new buddy. I'm house trained and ready to go home with you today. By the way, I do prefer to be the only pet in the household because I fancy all of the attention. I'm also a part of the "Golden Paws" and "Seniors for Seniors" programs. Let me explain, I'm only $45 dollars if you are under 65 years of age and I'm $15 dollars if you are over 65. Do the math, that's a great deal for all of my vaccinations, my microchip, medical evaluation, a bag of Hill's Science Diet and a limited health guarantee from VCA Animal Hospitals. I'm already neutered, but it would also cover that as well.
Be the envy of all of Houston! So what do you say? Come on down and adopt me and only me and let's be forever friends. The Houston SPCA is located at 900 Portway in the Heights area.

A hot topic in local Houston news reports Michael Brown, a former carpal tunnel surgeon and owner of the Brown Hand Center, was put behind bars for allegedly physically assaulting his fourth wife, Rachel Brown. The charge filed on August 13th reports Mr. Brown twisted Rachel's arm behind her back and left her harmed. The 53-year-old is now free on $40,000 bail and is to have no contact with Mrs. Brown and surrender his passport, according to court documents.
This is not the first time Michael Brown has been in trouble with the law. He was accused of domestic assault with his second wife Darlina Brown for beating her with a bed post while she was pregnant with their child years ago. The couple’s divorce awarded her $5.4 million for her injuries. She has since remarried and moved to Colorado and has custody of their two first children ages nine and ten.

Hi, I’m Rusty and I’m a voiceless victim from Louisiana. You see, the gulf oil spill caused my owners to lose their job and the ability to care for me. I miss them so much, but I know if I keep my paws crossed I will get adopted by a wonderful family! I’m a Retriever mix and am 1 ½ years old, I’m really just a baby! I’m so friendly, playful and I love other dogs. I’m also heartworm positive, but please don’t let that scare you, the great folks at VCA Animal Hospitals will treat this condition at no cost to you. All the info will be explained to you by the awesome Houston SPCA staff that cares for me and remembers to give me hugs and walks. I hope we can be forever friends.
You can find me at the Houston SPCA in the large dog section at 900 Portway Drive in the Heights area or call me at 713-869-7722.

Houston is the 4th largest city in the United States and with its “Energy Capitol” status we attract many fabulous “expats” from around the world. My friend MaryAnn happens to be one of them. She is from England and works for Shell. My friend Kim and I laugh all of the time when people ask us how we all met. Kim and I say “We picked her up at a bar”! Kind of true, we were having wine at Max’s Wine Dive about 11 months ago, and Maryann was trying to set up her guy friend with a cute girl. Well, she immediately made contact with Kim and me. Instead of making a love connection with the guy, we made an awesome new friendship with Maryann. Inseparable ever since I must add! That's what I love about this town. No matter where you are from, people welcome you with open arms! (Photo: Maryann Morris is the Red Coat, Kim Ahrens is the Statue of Liberty).
Maryann has an eclectic group of friends and they all come from everywhere….Scotland, Belgium, Japan, Colombia, Canada, Ecuador. She is a social butterfly, that's why I love her, and she came up with the clever idea of throwing an “International Theme Party”. The plan, to dress up from where you are from (Country or State) and to bring a dish that represents the place where you are from. How original! Love it!
