Whether real or make-believe, the drama on this season of the Bachelor is at an all time high and the effects are clearly seen all over Jake Pavelka's face. Where in the world did they find these girls?! I guess they didn't make everyone take the psych tests this year because it is very clear that most of these ladies would have failed miserably!
And my favorite crazy-lady was finally sent packing in one of the most awkward departures to date. Michelle first asks Jake for a kiss, which he painfully agrees to. Then she proclaims, 'Is that all you've got?! You've gotta give me more than that!' He just stares at her, at a loss for words, when she offers that she should just leave. Jake looks excited for the first time this week and says, yes please! Then Michelle reacts in shock because she thought he would at least try and fight for her to be there. No such luck, Michelle. She is appearing on the Ellen Degeneres Show to tell her side Wednesday, January 20th. That might actually be worth tuning in to!

Well, I think ABC finally lived up to their word and had 'the most dramatic rose ceremony, EVER!'. If you saw last week's episode, then you know that I'm referring to when Chris Harrison asked Roslyn to leave the show because she had an 'inappropriate relationship' with a 'staffer'. There are lots of rumors swirling around about this, so I thought I'd see what I could dig up.
I found a deleted scene from last Monday's show where the girls discuss what happened. Take a look!

By, Shannon Oliver Robinson (That’s right, I’m Mrs. Robinson now! Check out Hitched in Houston under Bridal to read all about my fairy-tale ending!)
OMG. I’m sorry, but there is really nothing else I can verbalize after watching the first episode of The Bachelor, On the Wings of Love. I have never seen more cheese, or pectoral muscles for that matter, than I just witnessed on the season premiere of the show we are all drawn to like rubber-necker’s to a five car pileup. And that my friends, is exactly what we have here… one HUGE train wreck (that we will all tune into for the next few weeks of our lives, even when we all know better!).
Why do we do it? Well, one can guess that we are all hopeless romantics always rooting for an engagement that ends in Happily Ever After. But perhaps we are just scared of missing the next ridiculous thing that comes from dropping one buff pilot into a mansion with 25 single ladies. Whatever the reason, this season is sure to entertain, disappoint, make us groan in disbelief, and of course, provide plenty of the world’s most dramatic rose ceremonies EVER!
There was so much to take in/make fun of that I decided to watch the episode again on abc.com… this shows how much I truly care for you all that I would put myself through this again! ABC is trying to spice things up and they have added a written commentary from Jillian and Ed throughout the episode. This should be good… let’s dive in!

The saga continues as Jillian searches for love in Spain (side note: That's where I want to go on my honeymoon!). But before we get to the good stuff, we get a 10 minute recap of Jillian with her final 4.

Well, last week I was left puzzled with Jillian's decision to keep Wes. Maybe there is some quality conversation and sincerity with Wes that we just haven't seen on the show. Something tells me that there is not, but hey, there has to be some reason he's still here... I just have no clue what that is!
This week's episode brings us one group date and two individual dates. We will see the boys dwindle from 8-5 and a new twist...the FIVE guys that get roses this week, get to take Jillian on hometown dates.

Girlfriends, Fingerless Gloves, and Work Duties Call... these are all puzzling, but what really has me confused is: Will Jillian be able to find love this season on the Bachelorette? Unfortunately, only a few people know the answer to that and we are stuck tuning in every Monday night and suffering through a slow two hours to find out. This past week's adventures begin in Whistler with 2 one-on-one dates and a group date.

Is it just me or is this season of The Bachelorette annoying? I've seen the same dates in past seasons of the Bachelor and Bachelorette, Jillian is always excited (way too excited if you ask me), and the lines seem scripted or borrowed from some bad teen chick flick. At least the wardrobe gives me something to look forward to each week!
We start off the show with Ed getting the first one on one date with Jillian. A romantic adventure with a helicopter ride (never seen that before, have we) followed by a zip line off the top of the building; which gave them ample opportunity to make comments like ‘I'm taking a leap of faith' (still borrowing date ideas from past seasons)... and then they... you guessed it... Jumped into the pool! I think the Bachelor should create their own line of swimwear with as much time as they have the contestants spend in the water.

Well, Summer is here and so are reruns and ridiculous attempts at television. Let's hope that this season of the Bachelorette provides at least one night of good TV!
The season premiere starts with a look back at Jillian Harris's time with Jason last season on the Bachelor. Jillian is high energy (which can annoy me at times), talks with her mouth open when she's excited, and jumps on furniture... but I must admit there is something about her that I like. I felt sorry for her when Jason snatched the rose out of her well manicured fingers and remembered all too well why I stopped liking him right around the same time. But look at her now! While Jason and Molly try to have a ‘normal' life in the wake of the mess he made, Jillian now gets to do the picking and Melissa just finished 3rd on the ever popular Dancing With The Stars. Who's crying now Jason? (Molly if I had to guess!).

Okay, by now the world knows that Jason chose Melissa on the season finale of the Bachelor last Monday night, but then changed his mind in a 'historic' After The Final Rose part 1, and is now with Molly. What we don't know is what the heck really happened! There are so many rumors flying around out there that who knows what to believe (my own father even informed me that he heard Molly is pregnant and that's why Jason changed his mind... and my dad doesn't even watch or care about the show!).
So, I've decided to try and track down some answers for us Houston and this is what I've found:
Chris Harrison's interview about the shocking finale:

I was so excited to watch last night's show after the teaser last week showed Deanna returning... but I should have known better. Of course ABC would drag out her return until the final episode! At this point, I'm really starting to wonder if she ever comes back and I think that they are possibly just using old footage to tease us... Unfortunately, only time will tell and we have to wait 2 weeks to see Jason hand out his final rose because the women are telling all next Monday. But I regress, on to this week's review.
THEN THERE WERE THREE!
Jason takes Jillian, Molly, and Melissa on a fantasy trip so he can spend some one-on-one time with the ladies in New Zealand (and in the Fantasy Suite)! This week, I'm voting for Molly to get the boot. He begins the dates with Jillian and first they explore New Zealand in a helicopter and then they explore each other in the hot tub! Jillian was the first impression rose recipient and also received a special 'safety rose' on a past group date, so you know Jason is into her, but we really see the sparks fly as they spend some time in the hot tub. (side note, sometimes I think Jillian looks really pretty and at other times, not so much... it really baffles me, but reguardless, I like her and think they make a cute, normal couple dispite her Candian accent, Aye!).
