One of America's favorite bachelorettes ties the knot!  Counting back to the very first season of the popular television show "The Bachelor" in 2002 you may remember 3rd runner up Shannon Oliver.  She did not walk away with the final rose that season from Bachelor Alex Michel, but just a few short years later her fairy tale has finally come into full fruition thanks to another lucky lad.  What a love journey Shannon Oliver and Justin Robinson share!  I am very honored to have attended their wedding!  Shannon had a very big "I Do" during their ceremony.  The whole experience from rehearsal to reception was an event to remember by all!

How Shannon and Justin met:

Shannon and Justin actually met over 11 years ago when they sat next to each other in a business class at Texas A&M University.  Shannon remembers that Justin was not only handsome, but he was also very kind and would always make it a point to come over and say ‘hi' whenever they ran into one another around campus. 

After graduating from Texas A&M, Justin moved to Buffalo, New York to work for Campbell's Soup Company but he and Shannon would still casually run into each other a few times a year when he would come to Dallas to visit his family.  2002 brought Justin back to Dallas and he actually moved into the same apartment complex as Scott Arnold, Shannon's good friend (and homecoming date from 1995)!  Scott would often include Shannon in their get-togethers so she and Justin remained in contact, but it took both of them moving to Houston for the sparks to really fly.  

Shannon moved to Houston in 2005 to work for Hot On! Homes and Justin moved to Houston in 2006 to help start the new branch of Stream Realty Partners.  Imagine Shannon's surprise when she arrived at a birthday party for a friend in Houston and saw Justin sitting at the table!  It turned out that the birthday boy was also going to work for Stream and Justin was his new co-worker.  Although they said they would get-together for coffee, their new jobs kept them too busy and that coffee date would have to wait for two more years.

Jeremy Poland was a college friend of both Shannon and Justin's and he invited them to his wedding in March of 2008.  Shannon was planning to attend the wedding with a date, but her date stood her up on the day of the wedding to go get a haircut (yes, this is a true story).  Justin was scheduled to attend an event in Dallas that same weekend, but ended up staying in town for the wedding at the urging of his good friend, Kyle Valentine, who told him, ‘You never know, Justin... your future wife could be there.' (yes, this is also a true story!)

Turns out, Kyle was right!  Shannon was leaving the reception just as Justin walked in.  They reconnected and ended up going to the St. Regis after the wedding with a group of friends.  To make good on their coffee date, they made plans for lunch the following week and the rest, as they say, is history!

A word of advice to the gents out there who do not want to lose their lady:  Do not bail on your girlfriend at a wedding!
